NANCY HUNT-BARTEK
COLLAGE & MIXED-MEDIA ARTIST
I am a self taught collage artist/designer from Northern California. Living on the ridge surrounded by majestic pine trees and beautiful vistas, inspiration is always present in my heart. I have spent a decade creating and designing what many call a “unique and one of a kind style” of art. To me, there are no limits, only my own imagination! When it comes to materials, anything can be used, and usually is. I incorporate my eye for color and my passion for paper and found objects into one-of-a-kind pieces. I work with many mediums, but my greatest love, is that of paper. I believe that collage artists don’t see the world as others do. We tend to look at virtually everything and ask, “How can I create art from this"?
I have a wide variety of themes I like to incorporate into my art. Whether it's Victorian, western, fantasy, spiritual or altered art, I'm sure you'll find something you'll relate to.
Almost all of my pieces also convey an inspirational message or quote that are special and make my artwork truly unique.
I've been doing shows, festivals, art walks and open studios tours for almost 20 years now. My work is sold in several shops and boutiques from California to New York and more recently on Ebay. Selling on Ebay has put my artwork all over the world -from Singapore to Europe which I find incredible! But I am most proud of my articles and work published in Somerset magazine and also my art featured on Oprah Winfrey's Website! Nancy’s creative artwork is well known throughout the North Valley. What started as making simple signs and greeting cards has evolved into two successful businesses, a busy teaching schedule and a successful ‘online’ business.
